High solar activity over the last 24 hours. Moderate to High solar
flare activity expected over the next 3 days. Significant coronal mass
ejection effects in progress due to the arrival of the M2.6 long
duration flare from 21Jun at 18UT. Resulting geomagnetic activity
increased from Unsettled to Minor Storm levels with Aurora
observations at southernmost regions of the Australian mainland (6am
local time). Strong to Very strong solar wind expected for the next 24
hours with Unsettled to Minor Storm geomagnetic conditions. Short-wave
radio fadeouts likely. High-frequency radio communications poor at
high latitudes with depressed ionospheric support at low to mid
latitudes.
