Tue Dec 22 10:59:57 EST 2015
Solar activity during the past 24 hours was at moderate levels with
two M-flares and several weaker C-class flares. The outlook for the
next 24 hrs is for low to moderate solar activity with C-class flares
likely and isolated chance of stronger M-class flares. No
earth-directed CMEs were observed over the last 24 hrs. The solar
winds is currently near 400 km/s and expected to gradually decline as
the effects of the 19 December CME wanes. Conditions for HF radio wave
propagation were heavily depressed, 80 points below the monthly means,
over the last 24 hrs due the aftermath of strong geomagnetic activity
associated with CME. Poor HF support is expected in the high and mid
latitudes over the next few days.
