Very low to low solar flare activity. Light solar wind. Geomagnetic
conditions at quiet to unsettled levels. High-frequency radio
communications fair to normal. A coronal mass ejection from the sun
was observed on 12 August associated with filament eruption is
expected to arrive at Earth with a glancing blow on 16 August. This
will likely cause an increase in geomagnetic activity with chance of
aurora sighting at high latitudes during the nighttime hours of 16
August.
