Low to moderate solar flare activity is expected for 10-Jan, with a
chance of X-class flares. The CME observed on 7-Jan arrived later than
expected and has so far had only a brief effect. The solar wind speed
is light to moderate. High-frequency radio communications should be
normal across the Australian region, but with degraded conditions at
high latitudes. Short-wave radio fadeouts are possible. Geomagnetic
conditions are expected to be quiet to unsettled.
