SUBJ: SWS GEOMAGNETIC DISTURBANCE WARNING 17/44
ISSUED AT 0032UT/08 SEPTEMBER 2017
BY THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE.

A strong shock was detected by the DSCOVR satellite at 07/2230UT, 
and IMF Bz has held a sustained southwards orientation for more 
than four hours. A geomagnetic storm is in progress. Expect Major 
to Severe geomagnetic storm conditions today (08 Sep).

INCREASED GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY EXPECTED 
DUE TO CORONAL HOLE HIGH SPEED WIND STREAM
