1A. SOLAR SUMMARY
Activity 21 Dec:  Very low

Flares: none.

Observed 10.7 cm flux/Equivalent Sunspot Number for 21 Dec:  78/17

COMMENT: The visible solar disc is presently spotless. Solar 
wind speed ranged from 430 to 340 km/s over the last 24 hours 
and is presently 360 km/s. The interplanetary magnetic field 
(IMF) Bz component ranged between +4/-3 nT. Observed a CME on 
the east limb, first noted at 21/0248UT on C2 imagery and was 
associated with large erupting filament ranging from N38E53 to 
N22E18. It is not expected to be geoeffective.

well correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic
survey flight-line data. 

NOTE: Indices may have been generated from data obtained in 
cooperation with the following organisations: Geoscience Australia, 
University of Newcastle Space Physics Group, Australian Government 
Antarctic Division and Space Environment Research Center, Japan.
