FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

Effects of a coronal hole are currently impacting the Earth and are
expected to continue over the next 48 hours, resulting in moderate
geomagnetic activity and the possibility of visible auroras during
local nighttime hours from Tasmania and perhaps the Victorian southern
coast. Aurora alerts will follow if significant geomagnetic activity
actually occurs.
