FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

The solar wind is currently under the influence of a high speed solar
wind stream from a recurrent coronal hole. Solar wind speed remains
strong (greater than 500km/s). Should sustained southward Bz
conditions eventuate, this may result in significant geomagnetic
activity and visible auroras during local nighttime hours (if
favourable viewing conditions exist). Aurora alerts will follow if
significant geomagnetic activity actually occurs.
