Geomagnetic:  Quiet

   Equatorial PNG Region:
     Near predicted monthly values.
  Northern Australian Region:
     Near predicted monthly values.
  Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
     Near predicted monthly values.
  Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base):
     Proton event in progress, increased absorption observed.

16 Jul 
Solar:        very low
Geomagnetic:  Quiet to Unsettled 
Frequencies:  
   Equatorial PNG Region:
     Near predicted monthly values during local day,
     Depressed by 15% during local night.
  Northern Australian Region:
     Near predicted monthly values.
  Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
     Near predicted monthly values.
  Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base):
     Proton event in progress, increased absorption observed.

17 Jul 
Solar:        very low
Geomagnetic:  Quiet to Active 
A weak (12nT) impulse was observed in the IPS magnetometer data at 
	0137UT on 17 Jul.
Frequencies:  
slightly above predicted monthly values

18 Jul 
Solar:        very low
Geomagnetic:  Quiet to Minor Storm 
Frequencies:  
near predicted monthly values

19 Jul 
Solar:        very low
Geomagnetic:  Quiet 
Frequencies:  
slightly below predicted monthly values

20 Jul 
Solar:        very low
Geomagnetic:  Quiet to Active 
A weak (12nT) impulse was observed in the IPS magnetometer data at 
	1052UT on 20 Jul.
Frequencies:  
   Equatorial PNG Region:
      Depressed by 20% during local day,
      Near predicted monthly values during local night.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Depressed by 15% during local day,
      Near predicted monthly values during local night.
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Near predicted monthly values during local day,
      Depressed by 15% during local night.
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base):
      Near predicted monthly values over the UT day with
      periods of significant degradations.

21 Jul 
Solar:        very low
Geomagnetic:  Quiet to active with isolated minor storm recorded 
              on some stations. 
Frequencies:  
   Equatorial PNG Region:
      Near predicted monthly values during local day,
      Depressed by 30% during local night.
      Depressed by 20% after local dawn.
   Northern Australian Region:
      Near predicted monthly values.
   Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
      Mostly near predicted monthly values,
   Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base):
      Near predicted monthly values over the UT day 
      with periods of significant degradations.

2. FORECAST (22 JULY - 28 JULY)
Solar: 
	Very low to low.

Geomagnetic:  
	Unsettled to active on 22 and 28 July. Mostly unsettled 
	on 23 July. Mostly quiet on the other days during this 
	period.

Frequencies:  
	Minor to moderate depressions in MUFs possible on 22, 
	23 and 28 July on high latitude and some mid latitude 
	locations.  MUFs near predicted monthly values on the
	other days.
