NOTE: Indices may have been generated from data obtained in
cooperation with the following organisations: Geoscience Australia,
University of Newcastle Space Physics Group, Australian Government
Antarctic Division and Space Environment Research Center, Japan.

Quiet to unsettled with active to minor storm periods on 25 Oct and
01 Nov. Weak impulses were observed in the IPS magnetometer data on
30 Oct/1002 UT (13 nT) and 01 Nov/0908 UT (15 nT).

2. FORECAST (03 NOVEMBER - 03 DECEMBER)
Disturbed Periods:
active 20 Nov to 21 Nov, 28 Nov.

Best Quiet Periods:
 3 Nov, 6 Nov, 8 Nov to 19 Nov, 22 Nov to 26 Nov, 30 Nov to 2 Dec.

3. FORECAST FOR HIGH RESOLUTION AEROMAGNETIC SURVEYS

Northern Australian Regions:
 Disturbed Periods: None.
Best Quiet Periods: 3 Nov to 3 Dec.

Central Australian Regions:
 Disturbed Periods: None.
Best Quiet Periods: 3 Nov to 3 Dec.

Southern Australian Regions:
 Disturbed Periods: None.
Best Quiet Periods: 3 Nov to 19 Nov, 23 Nov to 3 Dec.

Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum of
20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be well
correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic survey
flight-line data.

PLEASE NOTE:
Geomagnetic activity can frequently be determined by short timescale
solar events that cannot be forecast a week in advance, particularly
at solar maximum.
