FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

*estimated from real time data
Disturbances observed at start and end of week
were predominately due to coronal hole high speed
wind streams.
NOTE:
A large equatorial coronal hole is currently in the
centre of the solar disk. The Earth is expected to
enter the high speed wind stream from this hole
on 28 Jun. Also, a previously very flare active solar
region is due back to the solar north-east limb on 27 June.
Solar flare and mass ejection activity is likely to
increase after 28 June.
2. FORECAST (26 JUNE - 26 JULY)
Disturbed Periods:
Generally elevated background geomagnetic activity due to coronal hole
high speed wind streams. Isolated CME induced storms possible.
28 - 30 June : active to minor storm.
04 - 07 July : active.
11 - 21 July : active, isolated minor storm periods possible.
Best Quiet Periods:
02-03 July
08-10 July
23-24 July
PLEASE NOTE:
At this time of the solar cycle, space weather conditions
are frequently determined by short timescale events, not
able to be forecasted a week in advance.
