*estimated from real time data

A sustained period of southward IMF Bz and low solar wind speeds ended
in the second half of UT day Oct 14. Since that time magnetic conditions
have been unsettled with isolated active periods, especially at high
latitudes. Disturbances have been caused by significant short-term
fluctuations in IMF polarity acompanied by steadily increasing solar wind
speeds.

2. FORECAST (17 OCTOBER - 16 NOVEMBER)
Disturbed Periods:
27 Oct - 6 Nov

Best Quiet Periods:
20-22 Oct

PEASE NOTE:
At this time of the solar cycle, space weather conditions
are frequently determined by short timescale events, not
able to be forecasted a week in advance.
