An unexpected R3 (X1) solar flare has been observed at 29/0233UT from
a solar region in the far south west solar quadrant. The flare was of
short duration. Solar activity on UT day 29-Mar was expected to be at
the R0 level, however further isolated solar flare events are
possible. Solar wind speed is expected to be light. G0 geomagnetic
conditions are expected. A mild increase in geomagnetic activity is
expected 31-Mar due to a small equatorial solar coronal hole.
Australian region maximum useable frequencies are expected to be near
predicted monthly values to 20% enhanced. Isolated fadeouts possible.
