Solar activity on UT day 18-Jul is expected to be at the R1-R2 levels.
The solar wind speed is expected to be strong. G1 geomagnetic
conditions are expected, with a chance of G2 due to the arrival of a
CME first observed on 14-Jul. An S2 proton event is currently ongoing
and there is a chance of an S3 event later in the UT day. Maximum
usable frequencies (MUFs) are expected to be near predicted monthly
values to 15% depressed. Mild degradations in HF communication
conditions are possible. Shortwave fadeouts are probable.
