Solar activity on UT day 16-Jan is expected to be at R1, with the
chance of an isolated R2 event. The solar wind speed is expected to be
light to moderate. G0 geomagnetic conditions are expected for today.
Mild geomagnetic activity was observed during local night hours last
night. Southern Australian region maximum usable frequencies are
expected to be depressed 15-20% and northern Australian region MUFs
are expected to be near predicted monthly values to 15% enhanced.
Shortwave fadeouts are possible.
