Solar activity on UT day 18-Feb is expected to be at the R1-R2 levels,
with a chance of R3. The solar wind speed is expected to be moderate
to strong. G1 geomagnetic conditions are expected, with a chance of G2
due to an anticipated impact from a CME first observed on 15-Feb.
Australian region maximum usable frequencies are expected to be near
predicted monthly values. Shortwave fadeouts are probable. An impact
is expected today from a CME first observed on 15-Feb. A halo CME was
observed on 17-Feb which is expected to impact Earth on 19-Feb at
2200UT ± 12 hours, although this estimate is based on limited data and
analysis is ongoing.
