[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 03 July - issued 2155UT/02-Jul-2022 [SEC=OFFICIAL]

Sun Jul 3 07:55:16 EST 2022

Solar activity is expected to be at the R0 level over 03-05 Jul. The
solar wind speed is expected to mostly remain light. Unexpected mildly
disturbed geomagnetic conditions, briefly reaching ASWAS G1 at one
magnetometer station, were observed overnight in the Australian region
on 02 July, possibly from a weak transient CME. G0 geomagnetic
conditions are generally expected for the period 03-05 Jul. However,
there is a chance for further enhanced solar wind conditions, and for
geomagnetic conditions to again possibly reach the G1 level on 03 Jul,
due to recent CME activity. Mildly degraded HF conditions observed
overnight in association with the unexpected geomagnetic activity. HF
radio propagation conditions for southern Australian region after
local dawn this morning are mildly depressed and degraded. Northern
Australian regions are currently normal.
