[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 20 January - issued 1213UT/20-Jan-2022

An unexpected M5.5 (ASWAS R2) flare from AR2929 N08W72 occurred at
0601UT on 20 Jan 2022, with associated fadeout impacting western
Australian region. A minor (ASWAS S1) solar proton event followed the
flare. Due to the solar regions far west location on the Sun the
associated cornal mass ejection is expected to miss the Earth. Very
Low to low solar flare activity is expected on UT day 20 January with
a slight chance of an isolated M flare. The solar wind speed is at
moderate levels, due to waning coronal hole effects. Geomagnetic
conditions are expected to be mostly quiet to unsettled with possible
active periods. High-frequency radio communications should be mostly
normal to fair. There is a slight chance for shortwave fadeouts on
daylight HF circuits.ery Low to low solar flare activity is expected
