Thu Dec 23 10:32:29 EST 2021

Low to moderate solar flare activity is expected on 23 December, with
a chance of isolated M-class flares. Solar wind speed is expected to
decline gradually, though remain elevated, for most of today. From
late UT day 23 December, the solar wind speed may enhance again due to
the anticipated arrival of the 20 December CME. Geomagnetic conditions
are expected to be initially quiet to unsettled, and may reach active
levels on late UT day 23 December due to anticipated CME effects. MUFs
are expected to be mostly near predicted monthly values to slightly
enhanced levels. Shortwave fadeouts possible on daylight HF circuits.
