[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 05 August - issued 2345UT/04-Aug-2020

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Wed Aug 5 09:45:06 EST 2020

Very low solar flare activity is expected for today, UT day 05 August,
with an isolated chance of C-class flares. The earth is still under
the influence of moderately elevated solar wind speed associated with
a northern polar coronal hole. The solar wind speed is expected to
decline from today as the coronal hole effect begins to wane.
Geomagnetic conditions are expected to be mostly quiet to unsettled
with a chance of isolated active periods. Mostly normal HF propagation
conditions are expected; some degradations are possible in high
latitude regions due to the increase in geomagnetic activity.
