[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 04 August - issued 2331UT/03-Aug-2020

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Tue Aug 4 09:31:04 EST 2020

Very low solar flare activity is expected for today, UT day 04 August,
with an isolated chance of C-class flares. Solar wind speed is
predicted to remain moderated to high levels in response to an
equatorward extension of the northern polar coronal hole. Geomagnetic
conditions are expected to be mostly quiet to unsettled with a chance
of isolated active periods. Mostly normal HF propagation conditions
are expected; some degradations are possible in high latitude regions
due to the increase in geomagnetic activity.
