Tue Oct 29 10:12:37 EST 2019

Very low solar activity is expected today, 29 October. Solar wind
speed is expected to continue to decline towards its background level
for most of today as a coronal hole effect wanes. Some mild
enhancements in solar wind speeds could be possible from late on UT
day 29 due to the arrival of possible glancing blow from the 25 Oct
CME. Geomagnetic activity is expected to be at mostly quiet to
unsettled levels today, with a small possibility of some isolated
active periods due to the possible CME effect. Maximum usable
frequencies (MUFs) are expected to be between moderately depressed to
near predicted monthly values. Lower HF frequency links will be less
impacted.
