[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 25 January - issued 2312UT/24-Jan-2019 [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Fri Jan 25 10:12:28 EST 2019

Very low solar activity is expected for today, UT day 25 January, with
a remote chance of C-class flares. The Earth is currently under the
influence of moderately elevated solar wind speed associated with an
equatorial coronal hole. Similar solar wind conditions are expected
for today. Geomagnetic activity in the Australian region is expected
to be Quiet to Unsettled today and at times may even reach active
levels. High-frequency radio communication users are advised to use
slightly lower to near predicted monthly frequencies due to very low
levels of ionising radiation from the Sun and recent disturbed
geomagnetic conditions associated with the coronal hole.
