[ips-sf] SWS Summary Forecast for 15 September - issued 2326UT/14-Sep-2016 [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

Solar activity was very low during 14 September UT and it is expected
to remain very low today, 15 September. There is a small chance of a
weak C class flare during the next 2 days. There are no Earthward
directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs). Slow solar wind with a speed
of about 340 km/s is currently arriving at Earth. The solar wind speed
is expected to remain low today. Geomagnetic conditions were quiet to
unsettled during 14 September UT. They are expected to be unsettled
today, 15 September. They may reach active levels (Kp=4) due to the
favourable orientation of the Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF). A
brief minor geomagnetic storm condition (Kp=5) is possible. Conditions
for HF radio wave propagation were normal in the Australian region
during 14 September UT. They are expected to be normal today, 15
September.
