[ips-sf] IPS Summary Forecast for 18 January - issued 2316UT/17-Jan-2016 [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

Solar flare activity was very low during 17 Jan UT and is expected to
remain very low during 18-19 Jan. No new Earthward directed CMEs were
recorded during 17 Jan. The slow, faint CME launched late on 14 Jan
may have a minor impact on Earth during the early hours of 19 Jan.
Slow solar wind with a speed less than 350 km/s is currently arriving
at Earth. Geomagnetic conditions are expected to reach unsettled to
active levels during 18-19 Jan. Conditions for HF radio propagation
are expected to be enhanced in the Southern Hemisphere and mildly
depressed in the Northern Hemisphere during 18 Jan.
