Sun Feb 14 10:41:12 EST 2016

Solar activity on the UT day 13 Feb was at moderate levels with one
M-class and number of C-class flares. These flares were all from
Region 2496, which is in a threatening position for earth. Thus,
shortwave fades are possible over the next two days and this region
could trigger more earth-directed coronal mass ejection (CME). The 11
Feb CME associated with this region will most probably arrive at the
Earth early on UT day February 15. A minor to moderate geomagnetic
storm are expected on UT day Feb 15. Auroral sight could be possible
on the local night of 15 Feb from southern regions of Australia,
including Tasmania and maybe Victoria.
