Fri Feb 5 10:23:09 EST 2016

Solar Active Region 2494 (S12E09) has shown rapid growth in both size
and complexity and currently has a beta-gamma-delta magnetic
configuration with the potential to produce M-class flares over the
next 24-48 hours. A short-wave fadeout warning has been issued for the
next 24-48 hours for locations in the sunlit hemisphere. Apart from
the potential for short-wave fadeouts from solar flare activity,
ionospheric conditions for HF radio communications are expected to be
good. Solar wind speed remains elevated above 400km/s but is expected
to decline over the next day. Geomagnetic conditions are quiet, with
no significant activity forecast for the next three days.
