[ips-sf] IPS Summary Forecast for 02 September - issued 2327UT/01-Sep-2015

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Wed Sep 2 09:27:18 EST 2015

Solar activity during the past 24 hours was very low. A small
equatorial coronal hole is taking a geoeffective position on the solar
disk and the high speed solar winds streaming from this coronal hole
could possibly cause minor geomagnetic storms over the next two days.
Conditions for HF radio wave propagation are still unusually
depressed. There is small chance that aurora would be visible during
the local night hours of the 2-3 Sep from Tasmania and other southern
most regions of Australia.
