[ips-sf] IPS Summary Forecast for 01 September - issued 2338UT/31-Aug-2015

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Tue Sep 1 09:38:22 EST 2015

Solar activity is expected to be very low over the next 3 days. Active
Region 2403 is now located behind the west limb and the remaining
visible sunspot regions appear to be stable at this time. A small
equatorial coronal hole is taking a geoeffective position on the solar
disk and the possible high speed solar winds streaming from the
coronal hole could cause minor geomagnetic storms over the next two
days. Conditions for HF radio wave propagation are still unusually
depressed, and can be further degraded by the forecasted arrival of
active geomagnetic conditions on 1-2 Sep.
