Solar flare activity has been high with an M8 flare currently in
progress (0200 UT) and causing a sudden ionospheric disturbance in the
Australian region and similar longitudes. The solar wind remains
strong. Geomagnetic conditions at quiet to unsettled levels.
Short-wave radio fadeouts still possible. High-frequency radio
communications normal to fair.
