rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Sun Oct 12 10:29:44 EST 2014

Solar flare activity was very low on 11-Oct. A solar filament lifted
off from the northwest quadrant, starting at around 11/1930 UT, but
does not appear to be Earth-directed. The filament CME from 10-Oct
could give Earth a glancing blow 13-14 Oct. The solar wind remains
light. Geomagnetic conditions are at quiet levels after unsettled to
active conditions from 06-15 UT due to several hours of southward
interplanetary magnetic field. High-frequency radio communications are
normal.
