Mon Jun 9 09:38:10 EST 2014

Geomagnetic activity went up to minor storm levels today. There have
been some reports of major storm too. This rise in geomagnetic
activity seems to have resulted from an unexpected glancing blow from
a CME that was observed on 4 June. Solar activity is expected to
remain low on 9 June with some possibility of M-class event. Solar
wind stream is still going strong and expected to gradually decline to
moderate levels through the UT day today. Geomagnetic conditions may
rise to active levels today. Short-wave radio fadeouts possible.
High-frequency radio communications mostly normal to fair.
