Moderate flare activity expected 19-May, although solar active region
1748, the source of four X-class flares over the last week, is now in
decline. Further fadeouts are possible. A Coronal Mass Ejection (CME)
is expected to arrive around midday today producing Minor Storm
geomagnetic conditions, with isolated Major Storm periods overnight.
Aurora sightings possible from high latitude locations (eg Tasmania)
overnight (19-May). High-frequency radio communications are expected
to be mostly normal during the day with degraded HF conditions and
depressed MUFs overnight and continuing into 20-May.
