[ips-sf] IPS Summary Forecast for 23 June - issued 2253UT/22-Jun-2013

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Sun Jun 23 08:53:21 EST 2013

Expect low to moderate activity today. The large coronal hole located
in the north west hemisphere continues to transit the solar disc and
thus the solar wind remains elevated. Geomagnetic conditions are
expected to be quiet to unsettle in the Australian region with
isolated active levels at high latitudes. Ionospheric support for HF
propagation was near predicted or slightly enhanced during June 22 and
the 3 day outlook is for current conditions to prevail due to the
elevated solar EUV flux. Short wave radio fadeouts are possible due to
the increase in solar activity.
