[ips-sf] IPS Summary Forecast for 25 October - issued 2317UT/24-Oct-2012

Thu Oct 25 10:17:37 EST 2012

Solar flare activity is currently at low levels with ambient solar
wind conditions and a quiet geomagnetic field. A sunspot region that
has recently produced several large X-ray flares is rotating into the
centre of the sun and any further flares, which are probable, are now
more likely to result in earthward directed coronal mass ejections.
High frequency radio communication conditions are good with some
chance of brief fadeout periods due to possible X-ray flare activity
over the next few days.
