[ips-sf] IPS Summary Forecast for 09 July - issued 2350UT/08-Jul-2012

rwc rwc at ips.gov.au
Mon Jul 9 09:50:03 EST 2012

Three, low, M-class flares on 8 Jul with a large M flare at 1632 UT.
This large flare is likely to have caused SWFs in the South
American/Atlantic region. Moderate solar flare activity is expected
due to two large sunspot groups in the southern solar hemisphere. The
solar wind has been moderate and is expected to remain so due to
recent CME events. Geomagnetic conditions are expected to be unsettled
to active. High-frequency radio communications should be fair to
normal with SWFs possible.
