ASWFC GEOSTAT (GEOmagnetic STorm Alert Tracking System) provides 6 alerts that are issued at different stages along the passage of a Solar event from its origin to its impact as a Geomagnetic Storm. The lead time for GEOSTAT alerts ranges from 3 to 4 days for GEOSTAT-5 to "STORM IN PROGRESS" for GEOSTAT-0. As the alert tracks from GEOSTAT-5 down to GEOSTAT-0 the likelyhood of a geomagnetic storm increases.
