About ips-clg-radio-sweep-event | |
A Type II radio sweep is a type radio emission from the Sun observed to drop in frequency with time. Such emissions are believed to be an inference of a coronal mass ejection event, such events can cause geomagnetic storm activity. The alerts are issued subjectively when a pattern of emmission is considered by the solar observer to be a "Type II sweep".
