URSI Student Paper Competition. The winners are to be rewarded with a
substantial financial prize and all the finalists receive free lodging. (The
$5,000 in prizes, the cost of preparing award certificates, and other
expenses related to the student competition will be funded by the US
National Committee of URSI as a contribution to the GA.). Please promulgate
this widely. It would be good to see a good response from Commission G. See
the Conference website for further details.

Finally, please also remember that the URSI Young (up to 35 years old)
Scientists Programme is again being run this year. This provides financial
and basic accommodation support to attend the General Assembly. Applications
will be assessed by the URSI Young Scientist Committee taking account of the
national ranking of the application and the technical evaluation of the
abstract by the relevant URSI Commission. Awards will be announced on the
URSI Web site in April 2008. Again, see the Conference website for further
details.
