Dear Colleagues,

We would like to draw your attention to session G03 at the URSI GA in 
Chicago 9-16 August 2008), entitled "Ionospheric Irregularities and 
Scintillation". In this session, we invite theoretical, modeling, 
applications and results of studies focused on ionospheric 
irregularities and scintillation. The full description of this session 
is appended to this email.

The deadline for abstracts is 31 January 2008. Abstracts can be 
submitted via the GA website: http://www.ece.uic.edu/2008ursiga/

URSI 2008 - Session G03
This session seeks to review the latest developments in the study of 
ionospheric irregularities and scintillation. It will welcome papers 
addressing theoretical developments, together with modeling and 
morphological studies. Papers will also be welcomed describing new 
experimental results, including those based on GPS, GLONASS and Galileo 
signals, beacon transmissions from the COSMIC satellites and insitu 
satellite irregularity measurements. Ionospheric irregularities and 
scintillation are a challenge for society’s increasing dependence on 
satellite based technological systems; therefore, studies of 
scintillation and irregularity effects on operational navigation and 
communication systems will also be welcome .
