Dear Colleagues.
On behalf of URSI Comission G I invite you to present your recent results on
the lithosphere-atmosphere-ionosphere coupling at special session of the
URSI General Assembly which will be held at the Hyatt Regency Chicago Hotel
in downtown Chicago, Illinois, USA on August 07-16, 2008
*HGE: Seismo-electromagnetics*
Friday 15/08/2008 13:40 – 17:20 / Oral Session / 10 Papers *Room: *Grand F
*Conveners: *
M. Parrot, <mparrot at cnrs-orleans.fr>
S. Pulinets, <pulse at geofisica.unam.mx>
O. Molchanov, <oleg at molchanov.org>
*Summary: *Observations of electromagnetic phenomena associated with seismic
and volcanic activities have been reported for many years. Perturbations
occur not only in the lithosphere but also in the atmosphere and ionosphere,
leading to the generation of a new science field,
lithosphere-atmosphere-ionosphere coupling. This session will accept papers
dealing with new observational findings on the seismic effects in different
regions and also those dealing with theoretical works on the mechanisms of
the seismogenic effects and of the lithosphere-atmosphere-ionosphere
coupling.
I would like to remind you that the deadline for submitting abstracts and
applications for financial support is 31 of January.
- Deadline for submission of invited and contributed abstracts and
papers to the GA submission Web site.
January 31, 2008
- Deadline for Young Scientists to submit their papers and
applications to the GA submission Web site.
- Deadline for Students to submit their papers and applications for
the Student Paper competition to the GA submission website.
Sincerely
Dr. Sergey Pulinets
Co-convener, Comission G
