Dear Colleagues,
we have extended the abstract submission period for this year's
ASSC. We are very short of astrobiology, atmospheric, planetary,
and remote sensing talks. Some space physics/weather groups have
also not submitted.
Please proceed to submit your abstracts ASAP. With best wishes,
Iver.

Subject: Extension of abstract submission period for the 8th ASSC
It is not too late to submit abstracts to the 8th Australian Space Science
Conference (ASSC), which will be held from 29 September - 2 October 2008 at
the Australian National University, Canberra. This year, the ASSC will be
held in conjunction with a workshop to discuss Australia's first Decadal
Plan for Space Science, hosted by the National Committee for Space Science.
Details on registration rates and accommodation are available at the
conference website at http://www.assc.nssa.com.au
If you would like to still submit, then please advise the secretariat by
email assc-abstracts at nssa.com.au no later than 15 July.
Session topics:
^ Space science, including space and atmospheric physics, remote sensing
from space, planetary sciences, astrobiology and life sciences, and
space-based astronomy and astrophysics.
^ Space engineering, including communications, navigation, space
operations, propulsion and spacecraft design, testing and
implementation.
^ Space industry
^ Government, international relations and law
^ Education and outreach
The 2007 ASSC was a great success with over 120 participants from Australia
and overseas. We look forward to your participation in this year's
Australian space science conference.
