COMMENT: Mildly disturbed conditions this week due
to elevated solar wind speeds from solar coronal hole.
2. FORECAST (06 FEBRUARY - 12 FEBRUARY)
Solar: Low to Moderate. A solar region (number 551) in the south-east
quadrant of solar disk is showing growth, and may begin to produce
solar flares if it continues to develop. A previously
active solar region (number 540) is due back to the solar
disk around 08 Feb. Activity may increase after this date.
Geomagnetic: Active periods possible 06 Feb, then mostly quiet
to unsettled. A weak recurrent pattern suggests that
active periods are also possible around 12 Feb.
Frequencies: depressed 15% briefly after local dawn on 06-Feb,
then mostlly near predicted monthly values.
PLEASE NOTE:
At this time of the solar cycle, space weather conditions
are frequently determined by short timescale events, not
able to be forecasted a week in advance.
