2. FORECAST (16 SEPTEMBER - 22 SEPTEMBER)
MUFS:
Maximum usable frequencies are expected to be near predicted monthly values
to depressed by up to 15% over 16-17 Sep due to anticipated geomagnetic
activity. Depressions are expected to be stronger in the southern Australian
region. MUFs are expected to recover towards predicted monthly values over
18-22 Sep.
Propagation conditions:
HF radio propagation conditions are expected to be degraded over 16-17 Sep,
primarily at higher latitudes and in the northern hemisphere due to anticipated
geomagnetic activity. Conditions are expected to trend towards normal conditions
over 18-22 Sep.
Short wave fadeouts are not expected over 16-22 Sep.
T index: 62
3. OUTLOOK (23 SEPTEMBER - 23 OCTOBER)
Degraded HF propagation conditions possible:
25-27 Sep, 04-06 Oct and 12-14 Oct
PLEASE NOTE:
Space weather conditions can frequently be determined by short
timescale events that cannot be forecast a week in advance,
particularly at solar maximum.
