2. FORECAST (21 JUNE - 27 JUNE)
MUFS: MUFs near to 15% above predicted monthly values.
Propagation conditions: Normal during local day, with
mildly degraded HF communication conditions during local
night hours for the southern Australian region as ionospheric
spread F has been observed on regional ionograms quite
persistently over the past week. SWFs are probable this week due
to a solar region in the south east solar quadrant, which produced
an R3 flare on 20-Jun.
T index: 100
ASWFC SWF HF Communications Warning 56 was issued on 18 June
and is current for 19-21 Jun.
3. OUTLOOK (28 JUNE - 28 JULY)
Degraded HF propagation conditions possible:
12-14 Jul and 17-18 Jul.
PLEASE NOTE:
Space weather conditions can frequently be determined by short
timescale events that cannot be forecast a week in advance,
particularly at solar maximum.
