AUSTRALIAN REGION SUMMARY AND FORECAST
1. SUMMARY (24 MAY - 30 MAY)

MUFS:
Near predicted monthly values to 30% enhanced at times at
all stations. Sporadic E ovserved at equatorial and
northern Australian stations mostly during afternoon.
Spread F observed at all stations mostly between 10 and
20 UT.
25 May 23 Fair-normal
MUFS:
Near predicted monthly values to 30% enhanced at times at
all stations. Sporadic E observed at most stations during
afternoon and early evening. Spread F observed at all
stations between about 09 and 20 UT.
26 May 24 Normal
MUFS:
Equatorial PNG/Niue Region:
Depressed by 15% after local dawn,
Minor disturbances during local night.
Northern Australian Region:
Near predicted monthly values.
Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
Mostly near predicted monthly values.
Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
Near predicted monthly values local day.
Minor disturbances during local night.
27 May 30 Normal
MUFS:
Equatorial PNG/Niue Region:
Near predicted monthly values during local day.
Enhanced by 20% during local night.
Northern Australian Region:
Near predicted monthly values.
Southern Australian and New Zealand Region:
Near predicted monthly values during local day.
Enhanced by 20% during local night.
Antarctic Region (Casey/Scott Base/Davis/Mawson):
Normal to enhanced over the UT day.
28 May 29 Fair-normal
MUFS:
Near predicted monthly values to 30% enhanced. Spread F
observed at most stations during night hours. Sporadic
E observed at most stations during afternoon hours.
29 May 25 Fair-normal
MUFS:
Near predicted monthly values with enhancements to 30%
at night. Spread F observed at all stations during
night hours.
30 May 28 Fair-normal
MUFS:
Near predicted monthly values with enhancements 30% and
more from 09 to 20 UT at most stations. Spread F was
observed at most stations during night hours.
Predicted Monthly T index for May: 15
2. FORECAST (31 MAY - 06 JUNE)
MUFS: Near predicted monthly values to 30% enhanced. On 1
June depressions to 30% possible, mostly at high latitudes.
Propagation conditions: Fair 01-Jun , otherwise fair-normal.
No SWFs expected.
T index: 25
3. OUTLOOK (07 JUNE - 07 JULY)
Degraded HF propagation conditions possible:
07-08 June, 27-28 June, 04-05 July.
