*estimated from real time data

NOTE: Indices may have been generated from data obtained in
cooperation with the following organisations: Geoscience Australia,
University of Newcastle Space Physics Group, Australian Government
Antarctic Division and International Center for Space Weather
Science and Education, Japan.

Geomagnetic activity was at the G0 level in the Australian region
throughout out the period of 24-Feb to 04-Mar.

2. FORECAST (05 MARCH - 04 APRIL)
Disturbed Periods:
 07-09 Mar, 14-16 Mar, 20-24 Mar, 03-04 Apr.

Best Quiet Periods:
 05-06 Mar, 11-13 Mar, 18-19 Mar, 26-Mar to 01-Apr.

3. FORECAST FOR HIGH RESOLUTION AEROMAGNETIC SURVEYS
Northern Australian Regions:
 Disturbed Periods: None.
Best Quiet Periods: 05-13 Mar, 16-20 Mar, 23-Mar to 05-Apr.

Central Australian Regions:
Slightly Disturbed Periods: 14-15 Mat, 21-22 Mar.
Best Quiet Periods: 05-12 Mar, 17-20 Mar, 24 Mar to 05-Apr.

Southern Australian Regions:
Disturbed Periods: 07-09 Mar, 14-16 Mar, 20-25 Mar, 03-04 Apr.
 Best Quiet Periods: 05-06 Mar, 11-12 Mar, 18-19 Mar, 26-Mar to 01-Apr.

Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum of
20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be well
correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic survey
flight-line data.

PLEASE NOTE:
Geomagnetic activity can frequently be determined by short timescale
solar events that cannot be forecast a week in advance, particularly
at solar maximum.
