FROM THE AUSTRALIAN SPACE FORECAST CENTRE

NOTE: Indices may have been generated from data obtained in
cooperation with the following organisations: Geoscience Australia,
University of Newcastle Space Physics Group, Australian Government
Antarctic Division and Space Environment Research Center, Japan.

Quiet to Unsettled conditions observed over the last 7 days.
Quiet conditions expected for 27Aug-30Aug with possible
Unsettled periods due to coronal hole effects. Mostly Quiet
conditions expected for 31Aug-01Sep.

2. FORECAST (27 AUGUST - 26 SEPTEMBER)
Disturbed Periods:
No strong recurrent patterns, however mild activity may be experienced on:
  30 Aug, 2 Sep to 3 Sep, 5 Sep, 15 Sep to 17 Sep.

Best Quiet Periods:
27 Aug to 29 Aug, 31 Aug to 1 Sep, 4 Sep, 6 Sep to 14 Sep, 18 Sep to
22 Sep.

3. FORECAST FOR HIGH RESOLUTION AEROMAGNETIC SURVEYS

Northern Australian Regions: NA

Central Australian Regions: NA

Southern Australian Regions: NA

Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum of
20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be well
correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic survey
flight-line data.

PLEASE NOTE:
Geomagnetic activity can frequently be determined by short timescale
solar events that cannot be forecast a week in advance, particularly
at solar maximum.
