*estimated from real time data

A weak (14nT) impulse was observed in the IPS magnetometer data
at 0529UT on 11 May.

Quiet to Unsettled conditions observed for this week. No major
solar flare activity. Elevated conditions on 11May and 12May
due to coronal hole effects.

2. FORECAST (18 MAY - 17 JUNE)
Disturbed Periods:
active 7 Jun to 8 Jun.

Best Quiet Periods:
21 May to 24 May, 26 May to 30 May, 5 Jun to 6 Jun, 11 Jun to 13 Jun.

3. FORECAST FOR HIGH RESOLUTION AEROMAGNETIC SURVEYS

Northern Australian Regions:
 Disturbed Periods: None.
Best Quiet Periods: 17 May to 7 Jun, 9 Jun to 12 Jun.

Central Australian Regions:
 Disturbed Periods: None.
Best Quiet Periods: 16 May to 30 May, 3 Jun to 5 Jun.

Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum of
20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be well
correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic survey
flight-line data.
