3. FORECAST FOR HIGH RESOLUTION AEROMAGNETIC SURVEYS
Northern Australian Regions:
Disturbed Periods: None.
Best Quiet Periods: 23 Dec to 2 Jan, 11 Jan to 14 Jan.
Central Australian Regions:
Disturbed Periods: 5 Jan, 7 Jan to 10 Jan, 14 Jan.

Southern Australian Regions:
Disturbed Periods: 8 Jan to 10 Jan, 14 Jan.
Best Quiet Periods: 24 Dec to 30 Dec.
Pc3 pulsations are high frequency (10-45 second period) variations
of the Earths magnetic field. Daily pc3-indices are the daily sum of
20 minute pc3-indices for that station and have been shown to be well
correlated with rejection of high resolution aeromagnetic survey
flight-line data.
